Most people don't realize they can save hundreds or thousands of dollars at their favorite online stores with just a couple extra clicks.  Is it worth it to you?  It certainly is to me.  My family has saved hundreds of dollars since we started using Mr. Rebates and Extrabux.

I've found the biggest savings comes from buying Walmart gift cards on eBay -- and not just because they'll save you 3¢ per gallon at the pump.

Before making a purchase on that item you want, you need to first decide whether to use Mr. Rebates or Extrabux.  All you need to do is check both sites to see which offers the bigger rebate.  If they offer the same rebate, take your pick.  There's really no difference.  Both make you wait 90 days to collect your money (they have to make sure your item doesn't get returned).  You cannot earn rebates from both Mr. Rebates and Extrabux on a single purchase.

Here's how to get started saving money with Mr. Rebates:

Step 1: Create an account with Mr. Rebates.  To get $5 deposited into your account, click here; then click the "Join Now" link (leave the "Referral Email" field blank).

Step 2: Use the search box on the left side of their website to see if the store you want to shop at is offering any rebates and/or coupon codes.  If so, click the appropriate link to go to the store.  (Once you click a link from Mr. Rebates, you don't need to do anything other than make a purchase to activate your rebate.)

Step 3: After making a purchase, just wait one to two days for your rebates to show up in your Mr. Rebates account.  You will have to wait 90 days to collect your money either by PayPal or check (your choice).

Step 1: Create an account with Extrabux.  To get $5 deposited into your account, click here; then click the "Sign Up" link.
